Cornwall Festivals Network
This network has been set up to provide a range of different kinds of support to the many voluntary run festivals which form such a lively and crucial part of Cornwall’s cultural scene.
Festivals which are principally volunteer run, have a significant element of heritage or arts in their programme, or an ambition to develop those elements, are eligible to become part of the networks.
Four networks have been set up across Cornwall. It is early days for many of the networks but a central aim is to bring festival organisers together to share knowledge, skills and resources. Joint training sessions are organised on topics which the organisers request. In addition, we help market the festivals through the production of a Feast of Festivals leaflet, which is promoted by Visit Cornwall and distributed throughout Cornwall and beyond.
There is also a dedicated FEAST funding stream to enhance the artistic programmes of festivals which join the networks. This will support performances, events or workshops which will:
- Introduce a genuinely new and exciting element to the festival
- Help sustain or build attendance
- Help develop long term plans
- Help build local interest and support
Only festivals which are part of Cornwall Festivals Network can apply for Programme Enhancement funding. The maximum grant will be £1,000 but an equal amount of match funding must be in place for any applications over £500. As with the other types of funding please be aware that it is a competitive process, we do judge your application against our criteria and not all applications can be successful.
Your project may be eligible for consideration under the new FEAST / Cornwall Community Foundation partnership arrangements. Please go to Cornwall Community Foundation Partnership for further information.
