Amanda Lorens and Tony Minnion have been working with young people from the Gypsy/Travellers community at the Teyluva Centre in St Day. The youth group at the centre focused on screen printing two large banners that reflect their rich cultural heritage and the stuff that that makes them proud and happy in life. At the sessions they created a wide range of different images and patterns and printed them borrowing from the gypsy tradition of painted caravans, wagons and milk churns. The two 3 meter high brightly coloured banners will be unveiled to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Teyvula Centre then be hung on 5 metre flag poles to decorate outside at special events at the centre.
