Artists Amanda Lorens and Mae Voogd led students in exploring stop-motion animation through a combination of 2D paper-cut techniques and mixed-media processes, including mono printing, drawing, and silhouette making. Through experimentation, play, and collaborative making, the workshops encouraged young people to share and celebrate aspects of their culture that they value or miss.
Using accessible animation techniques designed for all ages and abilities, participants developed visual stories through animated imagery, exploring creativity, storytelling, and self-expression.
