Creative Kernow, based at Krowji, is the umbrella organisation for the following nine projects. Together we support the production, promotion and distribution of work by creative practitioners in Cornwall because we believe in creativity's transformative power and want more people to benefit from it.

Types of Funding

FEAST Main Grants

In the spring of each year, we run two rounds offering larger grants.  For the Main Grants there is a two stage application process, so we can assess your idea for eligibility and give you feedback on how the idea may be best developed to maximise its impact, fit with our criteria and link to other activity happening in Cornwall.  Artists working in any discipline can apply.

Audience Development

Projects create new opportunities for more people in Cornwall to enjoy high quality arts events as audiences.  We are looking for shows or exhibitions which can tour and be enjoyed in multiple venues.

Participation

Projects develop new participatory arts opportunities, grow confidence in participants’ own creativity and strengthen communities by initiating new opportunities for people to meet and share experiences

FEAST Smaller Grants

Open Smaller Grants

Grants of up to £1,000 for community arts projects. This pot is open to application from communities themselves as well as practicing artists. Applications for more than £500 need to provide match funding of 50% but you can count in kind support such as free use of venues etc. For more information on Open Smaller Grants funding click here.

Festival Enhancement

Grants of up to £1,000 for members of Cornwall Festivals Network to refresh the artistic programme of their festivals. Applications for more than £500 need to provide match funding of 50% but you can count in kind support such as volunteer time, free use of venues etc.

Your project may be eligible for consideration under the FEAST / Cornwall Community Foundation partnership arrangements. Please go to Cornwall Community Foundation Partnership for further information.

Bright Sparks

Cornwall Museums Partnership and FEAST are challenging museums and artists to work together to generate original ideas for bringing more and different people into the museums of Cornwall to enjoy Cornwall’s unique heritage.  We have established a joint small grants fund of up to £2,500 to enable the best ideas to be tested and delivered.

The project must involve some form of tangible activity or event with which the community can get involved. Applications must be made jointly by artist(s) and museum.
