Artists’ Amanda Lorens and Tony Minnion worked with Year 6 pupils at Penponds School to create an installation that celebrated growing your own fruit and Vegetable and promoted Healthy Eating. Children screen printed onto textiles and create 3D sculptures of fruit and vegetables with the artists exploring how their fruit and veg grows and how it’s displayed at market. The sessions allowed children to enjoy new processes and techniques and work collaboratively towards creating an impressive textile and sculptural installation in their school hall at the entrance to the school kitchen, to share with the whole school community.
