Through learning some basic British Sign Language, participants in the BSL and Dance Workshops will generate dance material through creative tasks. All participants irrelevant of physical capacity, experience or confidence will be enabled to explore movement as an arts practice freely, while also developing their understanding of BSL. This will support their ability to communicate with the deaf community in Cornwall, even if it is just learning to say hello, please, thank you or introduce themselves.
These sessions are being made available to school children, teachers and a variety of community groups and will be taught by Grace Clayton, Cheap Date Dance Director and Jackie Bryant, BSL tutor at Cornwall College.
