Saint-Seans’ Carnival of the Animals’ is one of the most popular pieces of music of the last 100 years, written for fun, and with an endearing charm that makes it immediately accessible to people of all ages. Tim Boulton ‘and Friends’ performed this work during the Golowan Festival, with Ogden Nash’s accompanying poems performed by RSC actor Suzanna Burden, and a projection of local children’s artwork of the animals on to a screen behind the performers. The young people who made the artwork were given free tickets to the concert to see their creations come to life.
