This new solo exhibition by SHARP crosses time periods from growing up in Bradford West Yorkshire to living in Cornwall, exploring queer language and symbolism within their own personal archive of photography stemming from the 1980s that reflects on the isolation and impact of section 28 and the longing of a queer utopia. SHARP will develop new works inspired by time of residency in Lamorna Cove whilst connecting with LGBTQ+ artists such as GLUCK, Marlow Moss and Ithell Colquhoun who came before and visited and lived in Lamorna Cove.
Throughout the month of February 2024, for LGBTQ+ history month, SHARP will be exhibiting at Lamorna Cove Village Hall and holding community events to explore the rich queer history of Lamorna Cove.
