‘Hard, Cracked the Wind’ is a Cornish ghost story shooting on 16mm film, directed by Mark Jenkin. Written by Adrian Bailey, the short is being made by Early Day Films in partnership with the School of Film and Television, Falmouth University. Producers are Kate Byers, Linn Waite and Denzil Monk. The production is providing 10 trainee and graduate positions working in a professional film crew and an opportunity for 25 Cornish learners/speakers from the language community to participate in a scene featuring Cornish language poetry night. The film is in English and Cornish, presenting the Cornish language in an authentic contemporary setting.
