Creative Kernow
This is an annual event, for a few hours only in the dark early evening hours on 30th November, with a series of creative workshops in advance. It comprises a torch lit parade followed by street entertainment based on light and fire; “Lighting up Callington” or Kelliwik Golowi in Cornish. The community are invited to participate in workshops to create costumes and lanterns, assisted by committee members and professional artists. The festival is designed to be fully inclusive and encourages goodwill and a community spirit with the health and wellbeing of all our residents at the heart of everything we do.
