The ‘Transformation’ project aims to bring local families onto the site to look at it in a different way, and enjoy both the history and natural environment of the place. Local people will work with artist Lou King to create plaster wall plaques which relate to the environmental recovery of the mine site from industrial wasteland to a nature trail with its own unique ecosystem. The resulting new art work, will form part of a new site trail at King Edward Mine.
Launch August 12th. Come and see the work in situ.
This project is part of the Bright Sparks programme, co funded by FEAST and Cornwall Museums Partnership
