Lafrowda are celebrating the magic 5.7° west line from pole to pole via West Penwith this year
The theme this year is 5.7 degrees west, the line of longitude that passes through St Just, Far west of Brittany, Spain, Gibraltar, Morroco: Algeria, Sahara desert, tiny bit of Mauritania, Mali, Ivory Coast, the Atlantic, St Helena, Antarctic, South Pole, and also Scotland, Ireland, the Faroe Islands and of course the North Pole.
We’ve asked local school children to create shadow puppet stories, music and a film in response to the geography, flora and fauna, cultures, and people on that line with the help of Jonathan Hayter from Figure of Speech.
