Minar Pasion

Minar Pasión – Mining Passion – draws on the wealth of music, dance and imagery inspired by the mine workers of Southern Spain and Cornwall. Like much of Cornish tradition, Flamenco owes a great deal of its origins to those working in the metal and mining industries.The show draws on these shared mining histories and depicts an emotional story of hardship, hope and new horizons.

Minar Pasión features traditional Cornish Scoot dancing, Flamenco dance, poetry, narration and visual art.

The associated workshop series ‘Emotional Feet’ (dance workshops in Flamenco dance and Cornish dance) will inspire people to dance and learn new skills all around Cornwall.
