Creative Kernow
Sing Along the River is a much-loved celebration of community singing and music making. The project is produced by Really Lovely Projects and Lost in Song. We are very lucky to have huge team of volunteers who help us to set and manage the stage, steward the site and serve behind our fundraising bar. This free event is held very Thursday in August in Lostwithiel’s parade gardens. Under bunting and fairy lights and alongside the River Fowey, the best of Cornwalls community choirs share their repertoire to audiences of all ages. Funding from Feast in 2019 has helped us to develop an early years and family music making session. Emma Mansfield, Jamie Roger and Jamie Crowe have devised an hour long session to get everyone dancing, singing and foot-tapping. We’ll be singing rounds, tongue twisters, shaking, dancing and singing well known songs together.
