Singing for Peace is about bringing together many people, both seasoned singers and those who would never normally sing in public, for a flash mob style performance in Truro for the International Day of Peace on 21st September, 2019. We are working with professional choir leaders and their experienced community choirs, and we are also encouraging members of the public who may never have sung before to join us through a series of community singing workshops.
Workshops which are open to the public are being held at the Cornwall Neighbourhoods for Change buildings in Redruth at 5 pm September 12th (The Elms, 61 Green Lane, TR15 1LS) and St Austell at 10.30 am September 13th (7 Duke Street, PL25 5PQ) and at the Blue Bar Boardroom in Porthtowan on Wednesday 11th and Wednesday 18th at 7 pm. At the flash mob event we will also highlight the plight of Refugees by promoting the charity Help Refugees and their “Choose Love” campaign.”
