‘Spillikin (a love story)’ is an odd-couple romance, interweaving the diminishing, but pivotal memories of an Alzheimer’s mind – snapshots of an early, awkward courtship, a revelation of mid-life adultery, songs, fragments of experience – with the advent of her new carer: a state-of-the-art robot, uploaded with the memories of her late husband – a life-companion rebooted from beyond the grave.
Will she accept him? And will it work?
‘Spillikin (a love story)’: a play with four actors, music, and a real robot.
The play is currently playing at the Edinburgh Fringe and receiving rave reviews. See here
Spillikin will be back touring in Cornwall through the winter.
