Creative Kernow, based at Krowji, is the umbrella organisation for the following nine projects. Together we support the production, promotion and distribution of work by creative practitioners in Cornwall because we believe in creativity's transformative power and want more people to benefit from it.

The Virtual Café Sci:  ‘Keep Fit exercises for the brain’.

With the era of COVID social distancing and self-isolation, we are launching the Virtual Cafe Sci.   On-line, live-streamed talks and discussion with a science-related focus, and – wherever possible – with a Cornwall angle.

Our talks on Wednesday 22nd at 6pm, BST, with: “Phages: the enemy of our enemy”.

Future talks over the next month will include citizen science; local lad Humphrey Davy’s contribution to chemistry; and appreciating insects – something we can all do, in our own homes and gardens, or even just on a balcony.

This is an exciting new departure for us, building on past plans to ‘go digital’. You can read more about it all on the Cornwall Science Community website: www.cornwallsciencecommunity.org

There is also a video with CSC chair Robin Johnson discussing the role of science discussions in community health, especially during the COVID era, on their You Tube Channel, HERE.
