Creative Kernow, based at Krowji, is the umbrella organisation for the following nine projects. Together we support the production, promotion and distribution of work by creative practitioners in Cornwall because we believe in creativity's transformative power and want more people to benefit from it.

Truro’s St Piran’s Day School Banners Project

Truro’s St Piran’s Day creative programme has been developing a strong relationship with its community of all ages for the past six years. This project will build on this engagement taking artists into Truro primary schools, inviting them to create a banner that expresses the values of their school community, to parade for St Piran’s Day. Two banners will be created in 2024, with the ambition of creating a further two the following year. The long term plan is to create a sea of banners within the processions and parades in Truro (other towns when invited) where communities can be proud of their identity and can develop a sense of togetherness.
