Creative Kernow, based at Krowji, is the umbrella organisation for the following nine projects. Together we support the production, promotion and distribution of work by creative practitioners in Cornwall because we believe in creativity's transformative power and want more people to benefit from it.

WAITER! THERE’S A POET IN MY SOUP

Waterstone’s, Truro, in association with Bert Biscoe & Des Hannigan, host an Autumn programme of poets reading at lunchtime in the store’s café.

An innovative and refreshing way to experience the work of contemporary poets based in Cornwall, taking a cultural break during a busy working day – a lunch hour with a difference.

Bert Biscoe, joint organiser with Des Hannigan, said: ‘This is a very talented group of poets, each with a different eye on the world, and each with reputations that stretch far beyond Cornish shores. We’re glad to be able to work with Waterstones. Books by each of our guests will be on sale, but it’s the chance to catch fine performers on the doorstep which is exciting’.
