Until the 1960s and 1970s willow crab/lobster pots, known locally as withy pots, were a common sight around our coastline. Through this project Anna Pope will spend time with those involved in the withy pot craft, recording oral histories and providing opportunities for this community to share and create. Material collected will be shared through film, art, audio and photography, culminating in an exhibition at the Royal Cornwall Museum from 10th March – 22nd June 2025. Workshops, talks, demonstrations and community events will run alongside the exhibition, engaging people of all ages with this fascinating craft.
