Arts Lab is a creative health programme by and for young people in Cornwall, delivered by HeadStart Kernow, Creative Kernow and Arts Well.
The aim of this programme is to address the mental and emotional health needs of young people, giving them an outlet for self-expression, connection and fun. We use the Five Ways to Wellbeing as a framework for the creative projects. Arts Lab years 2 – 4 (2023 – 25) were mainly funded by The Cornwall Council Wellbeing and Public Health Service. Years 5 and 6 (2026 – 27) are funded by the Cornwall Council resettlement service.
Over the past four years, we have commissioned artists to work with young people’s groups all over Cornwall to co-create opportunities in response to what the young people said they want. Watch the films and read the Impact Reports by clicking the buttons below.
